Ceremony of " Kebo-keboan" is an act of gratitude to God for the earth by Krajan Hamlet, Village Alasmalang, District Singojuruh held every 10 Syuro in Javanese calendar. This ceremony is expected to appear around the 18th century BC.

In month of Muharam or syuro, in the java calender, not just a farmer, the fisherman make the ceremony to expect a blessing and salvation. The execution time of Petik Laut every years always changing because based on calendar of Qomariah or fisherman agreement. The ceremony usually held during the full moon, because the fishermen did not go to sea and the sea was high tide.

Janger, sometimes called Damarwulan or Jinggoan, is the one of folk-entertainment which is similar with Ketoprak and Ludruk. It was live and prospers in Banyuwangi, East Java which is has an actor and story taken from the stories of legends and the other folklores.
Banyuwangi regency has an area of 5.78.250 km2. Banyuwangi is still an area of forest area. Area of forest area has reached about 183,396.34 ha or 31.72%, rice field area of about 66,152 ha or 11.44%, plantations with an area of 82,143.63 hectares or 14.21%, used as a residential area with an area of approximately 127 454 , 22 ha or 22.04%.
