Batik Elephant uling (Batik Gajah Oleng) symbolizes something forces, which grew from the Banyuwangi community identity. Its meaning related to the character of a religious community. With the mention of Elephant eling, which means being aware of (considering) the creator's wisdom is a good way to live a life of Banyuwangi.

Seblang is one of the rituals Using community that can only be found in two villages within the district Glagah-Banyuwangi, namely, the village and Olihsari Bakungan. This ritual is carried out for the village clean and starting reinforcements, in order to remain in a state of the village safe and secure. This ritual is the same as in the ritual Sintren Cirebon, Jaran braid, and Trance in Bali. Operation Seblang dance in the two villages is also different time, in the village Olihsari held one week after Idul Fitri, while in the village Bakungan, held a week after the Eid al-Adha.
Banyuwangi regency has an area of 5.78.250 km2. Banyuwangi is still an area of forest area. Area of forest area has reached about 183,396.34 ha or 31.72%, rice field area of about 66,152 ha or 11.44%, plantations with an area of 82,143.63 hectares or 14.21%, used as a residential area with an area of approximately 127 454 , 22 ha or 22.04%.
