Wonorejo or Tirto Kemanten Waterfall
Wonorejo Waterfall is located in Dusun Wonorejo, Desa Kalibaru Wetan, Banyuwangi, East Java. It also has another name that is the twin waterfalls “Tirto Kemanten”, because there are two streams of water seems like groom and bride.
The most interesting part of it is the natural scenery, fresh air, and the simple structures around the Raung Mountain’s feet. This waterfall is founded by Mbah Citro Wardoyo who makes this place as the last level of 7 (seven) levels of Raung mountain waterfall by Kalibaru’s lane.
Tips of Towards Nature "Tirto Kemanten" Waterfall :
- About 20 meters from the left side of Kalibaru station, there is a bend then just follow the directions to the location of the falls.
- Make sure your tires are still in good condition, because the path to the location of the plantation is a fairly steep road and full of sharp stones.
- Do not forget to bring your favorite drinks and snacks, because there is rarely of shops and café. There are several coffee shops and fried but usually they are only open on holidays.
Banyuwangi regency has an area of 5.78.250 km2. Banyuwangi is still an area of forest area. Area of forest area has reached about 183,396.34 ha or 31.72%, rice field area of about 66,152 ha or 11.44%, plantations with an area of 82,143.63 hectares or 14.21%, used as a residential area with an area of approximately 127 454 , 22 ha or 22.04%.
